Welcome to the Banton Parish Church website.

Reverend Sandra Farrington was ordained and inducted before a packed church from both Banton and Twechar congregations at a special service at Twechar Parish Church on Thursday 30th January 2003.

Before taking over the post of minister for both churches, Sandra was a nursing sister for many years, a job which was fulfilling and one which utilised her caring and sensitive nature.  A change of career was the next step whereby she studied in order to graduate as a minister of the Church of Scotland. She lives in the manse situated next to the beautiful and quaint Parish Church in the small village of Banton. She lives with her husband Robin and has a son Iain, who is currently studying hard at University.

Moss the 2 year old collie cross dog also lives at the manse in Banton and is now the mascot for the Sunday School! He visits the Sunday school every week and loves being part of it. He makes everyone feel welcome and likes to play and be involved in everything! He even has his own article in the quarterly issue of the Parish magazine.
